The Loose Choir - a vocal exploration for adults

Fresh from performing at the Hamilton Arts Festival, Margaret Dewes returns to lead last year’s hit workshop, The Loose Choir.  In this playful, lighthearted session, you’ll reconnect with your voice through breath stabilisation, activation of the back, ribs, and resonators, exploration of sound quality, and rhythmic games—all designed to re-awaken creativity and focus.  By the end, the group will come together to harmonise and sing as one.

The techniques introduced in this workshop help participants understand the body as an instrument and provide practical tools to continue making music independently.

Open to all adults with a curiosity for sound—no prior singing experience required.
